Renee Drabier, Ph.D., MBA, joined the senior management team at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in November 2008. Her responsibilities as Vice President for Information Resources and Technology include oversight of: Gibson D. Lewis Library; Academic Information Systems; Biomedical Communication Services; the Center for Learning and Development; Helpdesk and Customer Services; Infrastructure and Security; Record Information Management; Telecommunication Services; and Web and Programming Services.
Dr. Drabier returned to her home State of Texas from the University of Connecticut Health Center where she served from 2005 to 2008 as Assistant Vice President, Health Informatics and Associate Dean, School of Medicine. Prior to moving to Connecticut, Dr. Drabier was at Colorado State University-Pueblo where she served as Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Chief Technology Officer for over seven years. Prior to her work at Colorado State, she served for fourteen years at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Renee has a Ph.D. in Distance Education and Educational Technology from Texas A&M University, an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Bachelor degree in Music Education/Music Therapy from the University of Kansas.
