Introduction Scientific Review Committee NorTex Organization Community Advisory Committee Partners and Sponsors Mission, Values,  Goals Policies & Procedures Research Areas

NorTex is a practice-based research network (PBRN) which functions as a collaborative effort to conduct primary care research among North Texas primary care clinics, including family medicine, general internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology.

NorTex was developed and is currently housed in the Primary Care Research Institute at the University of North Texas Health Science at Fort Worth. However, the functions and resources of NorTex is only made possible with many collabortive efforts within the Health Science Center, including the School of Public Health, the Gibson S. Lewis Library, and the Office of Research and Biotechnology, and all our North Texas health care partners. All these entities share the same mission and vision with NorTex.

NorTex's success is only measured by the number of community partners, research studies reflecting the interestes and needs of these partners, and translating research into primary care practice with the intention to improve the health of the North Texas community.
