American Association of Osteopathic Women Physicians
Purpose: To establish an association of women students in the Osteopathic Medical Colleges recognized by the American Osteopathic Association which shall endeavor to:
1. Support one another in their studies of osteopathic medicine.
2. Enrich their educational experience through educational programs.
3. Assist one another in coping with problems unique to women physicians.
4. Maintain a high standard of ethics among all osteopathic students.

Purpose:
Art of Living
Purpose: To raise awareness that the quality of our lives is determined by the state of our mind; to provide tools and a loving space for maintaining a positive state of mind; to allow everyone to come to school or work on Monday mornings with a smile.
Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association
Purpose:To organize and provide community services to the Asian community in the DFW area; to promote awareness of Asian health disparities to the community and students; to build relations with healthcare professionals and organizations outside of TCOM in order to carry out the above goals.
Black Graduate Student Association
Purpose:To cater to the needs of African-American graduate students and other minority students.
Complementary and Alternative Medicine
Purpose: To educate the student body about various modalities of healing used by alternative complementary practitioners.
Christian Medical Association
Purpose: To be used as tools in the hands of Jesus Christ to draw everyone at UNTHSC into a deep and intimate relationship with the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Clinical Sciences Research Club
Purpose: To promote and educate UNTHSC students, faculty and staff about clinical and basic science research.

Purpose: The desire of the Emergency Medicine Club is provide an atmosphere for student member involvement and education. Our main goal is to provide opportunities and information to our members about the profession of emergency medicine and the tools necessary to obtain the residency program of their choice. Additionally we hope to provide community programs which highlight the emergency medicine profession and allow students first-hand experience.
Forensic Investigation, Research & Education
Purpose:To learn about various fields of forensics through speakers, field trips, and other educational activities; to establish a network of contacts in the field; to aid students in establishing a career path; and to increase communication between students interested in forensics.
Go-Force
Purpose:To help enroll an additional 300,000 academically prepared people - beyond the 200,000 enrollment growth projected based on current trends - into Texas higher education by 2015; to mentor, guide and encourage Texas high school students.
Global Health Initiative
Purpose:To improve the health and education of communities by establish and sustaining various healthcare projects; to provide international health experiences for UNTHSC faculty and students.
Gay Lesbian and Straight Health Network
Purpose:To ensure a safe and friendly environment for lesbian, gay, straight, bisexual, transgender, and intersex students, faculty, and staff at the University of North Texas Health Science Center by providing education, resources, and support.
International Student Association
Medical Association of Catholic Students
Purpose:To encourage one another to love the Lord, our God, with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds, and to love our neighbors as ourselves; to learn and understand the teachings of the Catholic faith, and to apply its principles to bring healing to the family of God and fulfill our vocations as physicians and healthcare providers.

Purpose:To promote awareness of technology's impact on healthcare.
Medicine/Public Health Initiative
Purpose:To provide a forum for student discussion and action related to public health and medical education practice and research; to incorporate, extend, and assist in realizing the goals of the national organization called the Medicine/Public Health Initiative.
PA Club
Purpose: The purpose of this organization is to establish an association of physician assistant students in the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine which shall endeavor to:
1. Support one another in their studies of physician assistants.
2. Enrich their educational experience through educational programs.
3. Assist one another in dealing with unique situations to physician assistants.
4. Maintain a high standard of ethics among all Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine students.
Pathology Club
Purpose: To educate the student body about options in the field of pathology; to provide information about residency programs, fields of pathology available, summer opportunities, and resources available to students.
Pediatrics Club
Purpose:The Club is an organization intent upon fostering the development of improvements in the health and well-being of all children and stimulating interest in the practice of pediatric medicine among students. One of our goals is to help the children of society to become interested in their health and recognize the importance of healthy living. We wish to encourage the osteopathic philosophy in the practice of pediatrics. Also, we will strive to educate society in ways to keep children safe from abuse.
Rural Health Organization
Purpose: To provide information, education, and experience with issues pertaining to rural healthcare.
Student Associate Auxiliary
Purpose:To support and promote the osteopathic profession, and provide a social network for the significant others of medical students.
Student Chapter of the American Geriatrics Society
Purpose:To encourage interest in geriatrics among faculty and students in the various disciplines concerned with the care of the elderly.
Student National Medical Association
Purpose:To increase diversity and promote the concerns of people of color at UNTHC; to educate and provide volunteer opportunities for our members and the student body at large.
Soccer Club
Purpose: To provide organizational and financial assistance for UNTHSC students who comprise Fort Worth Adult Soccer Association and other league teams; to create instructional and physical fitness opportunities for UNTHSC students interested in soccer; to create social events centered around live and televised soccer events.
Student Osteopathic Internal Medicine Association
Purpose: To represent aspiring osteopathic internists by:
1. Providing OMS with an early exposure to the field of internal medicine.
2. Stress understanding of ostepathic principles in relationship to disease in the practice of internal medicine and its subspecialties.
3. Affiliation with the America College of Osteopathic Internists to establish and maintain the highest educational and moral and ethical standards.
Student Osteopathic Medical Association
Purpose:To connect the student body with National-SOMA; voting on political bills that affect osteopathic students; being a student voice for AOA; to spread osteopathic awareness.
Student Osteopathic Surgical Association
Purpose: To expose the membership to various surgical techniques and topics through a variety of lectures and laboratories. To provide a broader education in the field of surgery and surgical issues to the membership. To provide a forum for discussion amongst students and osteopathic surgeons.
Sigma Sigma Phi
Purpose:To further the philosophy, art, and science of osteopathy and its standards of practice; to improve the scholastic standing and promote a higher degree of fellowship among students; to bring about a closer functional relationship and understanding between student bodies and the officials and members of the faculties of our college; to further the welfare of the osteopathic profession, its colleges, and other institutions; to foster allegiance of the American Ostoepathic Association and to perpetuate high professional standards through the matinenance and development of the organization.
Texas Medical Association/American Medical Association
Purpose:The Texas Medical Association Medical Student Section of the University of North Texas Health Science Center / Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine is organized to communicate more thoroughly all information about the federation and especially that which is of specific interest to medical students; to encourage Medical Student Section leadership at the local level for better continuity of programming/service and for the development of leaders at the Texas Medical Association level; to promote greater retention of members and to provide a forum for the establishment of programs; to strengthen the concept of 'federation' (County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and American Medical Association membership early and the idea of working within the structure of organized medicine to achieve the Medical Student Section objectives; and to increase the communication between medical students and county medical societies.
Texas Obstetrics & Gynecology Association of Students
Purpose:
1. To expand a baseline of knowledge of topics in Obstetrics and Gynecology through educational endeavors.
2. To establish or promote a system of unity and support for those students interested in obstetrics and gynecology.
3. To heighten awareness of pertinent current issues in women's health.
4. To promote cohesiveness among Obstetrician/Gynecologists and other primary care specialties in the areas of women's health.
5. To provide opportunities to practice techniques useful in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
6. To participate in community services in educating the public on issues related to the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
Texas Osteopathic Medicine Association
Purpose: To educate the students of TCOM on topics that ay not be affecting them today as students, but will have an impact on the way they practice medicine upon graduating; to expose the students of TCOM to the advantages of being a member of TOMA when they graduate.
Undergraduate American Academy of Osteopathy
Purpose: This UAAO has been organized by students at the University of North Texas Health Science Center under the auspices and guidance of the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO) for the purposes of acquiring a better understanding of osteopathic principles, theories, and practices. This includes attaining a maximum proficiency in osteopathic structural diagnosis and manipulative treatment, and fostering a clear concept of the clinical application of osteopathy in health and disease.
Undergraduate Academy of Sports Medicine
Purpose: To provide:
1. An educational forum for osteopathic and physician assistant students to address the quality of healthcare for individuals in competitive, recreational, occupational, and industrial settings.
2. Leadership to establish and promote fitness and exercise guidlines, and to guide healthcare relating to wellness, physical activity and sporting events.
3. A collegial environment to expand content knowledge and enhance clinical skills in primary care sports medicine.
United Latin American Medical Students
Purpose: To unify Latin medical students into one organization; to provide a voice for underrepresented medical students; to promote recruitment and retention of Latin students; to educate students on Latin health issues; to provide leadership opportunities for Latinos.
