TCOM takes home double honors at TMA-MSS conference

TCOM was honored with the 2003 Chapter of the Year and Student of the Year awards at the Texas Medical Association-Medical Student Section's Winter Conference held this February in Austin.

After being named Student of the Year, Prateek Chaudhary, a member of the Class of 2006, said that the TCOM chapter continues to excel at the core aspects of organized medicine, including membership, political advocacy and community service.

Chaudhary is part of a growing trend for the TCOM chapter - Dr. Jonathan Matthews '03 was the first osteopathic medical student to win the Student of the Year award in 2001.
