Mission Statement
To provide consultation, support, modification and
repair of the biomedical, scientific, classroom, video and audio
systems required to implement and support the educational, research,
patient care, security and service responsibilities of the Health
Science Center.
Overview
The division of Electronic Repair & Instrumentation
has three primary functions.
The first is to provide advanced technical support
for classroom education including maintaining the audio/video distribution
network, various monitors, projectors, cameras, and satellite equipment
that allow those events to occur.
The second primary functions is to provide support
to the researchers and research labs. In fulfilling this function
they maintain and repair the equipment used in these labs as well
as helping to design and fabricate equipment needed to facilitate
research.
The third primary function is to
provide support to the various clinics as the primary technicial
support for all repairs, maintenance, and calibration of the medical
equipment and instruments used in the clinics. As part of this responsibility
they perform regularly scheduled inspections of the clinical equipment
as a requirement for patient safety and JAHCO certification.
