Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Media Group division to provide leadership in the areas of analog and digital video, distributed learning, and professional digital multimedia in order to support the Health Science Center Administration, Faculty, Staff, and Students and to accomplish the educational mission of the department and institution.

Overview

The Media Group provides far more than video taping services. This division manages all distance learning using interactive teleconferencing (both H.320 & H.323 protocols), downlinking of satellite programming, and all other videoconferencing services. Professional video production services, (both on-location and in studio) are available using professional digital and analog editing equipment, conversion of analog video to digital video, video tape duplication, closed-circuit video feeds, digitization of video for use on the Internet, CDs and DVDs.

This team strives to support educators in their efforts to create an effective and stimulating learning environment at the Health Science Center. We offer our technical and design skills to further enhance the medical education experience.
