Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Print Services division to provide commercial quality printing and duplicating services in an efficient and timely manner in order to support the Health Science Center Administration, Faculty, Staff, and Students and to support the educational mission of the department and institution.

Overview

The Print Services division is currently staffed by an Offset Printing Specialist and a Duplicating Equipment Operator, who provide printing and copying services for the department and the institution as a whole. They are able to work from both our original files and as well as many prepared by clients from their own files or original mechanical art. Print Services is capable of completing most two-color printing jobs on the offset press and has the ability to run other one-color items (usually black only) on the Gestetner printer. The Duplicating Equipment Operator is able to reproduce large volumes of black and white copies using the two high-speed, large volume copiers.

Additional finishing services such as folding, cutting and binding are also offered by this division. Any finishing that cannot be done in their shop is sent to outside vendors and is coordinated by the Print Services personnel. It is the desire of the Print Services division to work with their clients and provide suggestions and guidance that will allow their clients to “get the most bang for their buck.” These tasks are accomplished with limited manpower and at a lower cost to the institution than it would pay if using outside vendors.
