To help Print Services complete your job faster, make sure you bring us the complete job when you first bring it down. Other helpful hints include:

· When supplying the master copies for a duplicating job, be sure your originals are clean, clear, free of folds, tears, creases, etc. “First generation” originals duplicate much better than “second generation” (copies). Remember that duplicating equipment cannot recreate lost images, or “fill in” what is not there.

· Always number all pages consecutively. While we try to be very careful, materials can get out of order. If each page of the original is correctly numbered it enables the Print Services personnel to insure that they are in the proper order.

· Each original should have at least a ½” margin on all sides. If the material is to be bound, the side margins should be increased to at least 1” to allow for the binding process.

· Remember that pencil, ball-point, blue ink and red ink do not copy well. Please avoid these if possible.

· If you submit paste-up images, this pages must be clearly tagged so that they can be copied to produce the master that will then be inserted into the rest of the document before being run through the high-speed duplication equipment.
