Posted Date:
05/16/2014

Description:
Dr. Melanie Gray and Dr. Vicki Nejtek from the Department of Family Medicine, University of North Texas Health Science Center want to collect information about from approximately 100 ballet dancers to examine the role of perfectionism/meticulousness in causing dance related injuries in ballet dancers during active years by measuring perfectionism scores and to examine factors contributing to the prevalence and type of dance-related injuries occurring in ballet dancers who continue to dance after their prime, professional careers. Through this study researchers will have a better understanding about the types, patterns and risk factors associated with progressive musculoskeletal injuries in ballet dancers. All those who complete the surveys in this research will be entered into a drawing for a $30 gift card!
