Commencement ceremonies today and Saturday

More than 570 students will receive their diplomas in commencement ceremonies on May 16 and 17. Because the local facilities that could accommodate an all-schools commencement are either under construction or unavailable, UNTHSC is conducting four separate ceremonies:

  • Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, May 16, 9 a.m.-noon, Will Rogers Auditorium. Robert Earley, CEO of JPS, will speak. TCOM's ceremony is a ticketed event, and we will have the MET Auditoriums open for guests who don't have a ticket to view the ceremony as it is streamed live.
  • School of Health Professions, May 16, 1 p.m.-3 p.m., Will Rogers Auditorium. Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price will deliver the commencement address.
  • Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, May 16, 4 p.m.-6:30 p.m., Will Rogers Memorial Auditorium. Speaking will be J. Craig Venter, leading scientist in sequencing the human genome, will speak.
  • School of Public Health, May 17, 10 a.m.-noon, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

TCOM, SHP and GSBS ceremonies will be streamed live here; the SPH ceremony will be videotaped and posted online the following week.

Congratulations to our graduates as you move forward in your careers to help build healthier communities!
