Internships are available to assist with special projects while simultaneously experiencing international cultures right here in North Texas. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in demographics, applied anthropology, international business and finance, globalization, and multicultural issues. International students are especially welcome. Students work on individual levels and in teams as they liaison between staff and a variety of multicultural groups, civic leaders, and media. American Red Cross, National Headquarters, Presidential Intern Program for Undergraduate and Graduate College StudentsWashington DC

The American Red Cross Corporate Diversity Department offers internships for undergraduate and graduate college students. The Presidential Intern Program provides an opportunity for college students to learn about key professional positions with the American Red Cross. The Presidential Intern Program is open to students who are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies or who have just graduated the spring immediately prior to their appointment. Students are recruited from Washington, DC area colleges and universities, but applications are accepted from any undergraduate or graduate student.

National Cancer Institute (NCI) Health Communications Internship

The National Cancer Institute (NCI), the largest of the 27 institutes and centers comprising the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is the Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research and training.  The NCI coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients. APHA (American Public Health Association) Internship Opportunities

APHA is offering an unpaid internship for the summer semester and fall semester. To be eligible to apply to this internship opportunity, applicants must be enrolled in school. World Health Organization Internship Opportunities

Applications Accepted: December 1st - January 31st for Summer Internships; August 1st -September 30th for Winter Internships

As the acknowledged leader in global public health issues, WHO is committed to building future leaders in public health. WHO's Internship Programme provides a wide range of opportunities for students to gain insight into the work of WHO. Every year a limited number of places for internships are available. To take part in the programme, the WHO looks for the following minimum eligibility criteria: 

* Applicants must be enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (second university degree or higher) both at the time of application and during the internship.
* Applicants pursuing their studies in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages must have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a degree.
* A minimum of 20 years of age.
* Possess a first degree in a public health, medical or social field related to the technical work of WHO.
* Fluent in the working language of the office of assignment.
