Introduction to Accreditation

The University of North Texas Health Science Center is accredited by several agencies which essentially perform external quality review. These agencies are regional (the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, or SACS), state (THECB) and professional (American Osteopathic Association or AOA; Accreditation Review Commission for the Physician Assistant or ARC-PA, and Council on Education for Public Health or CEPH).

In addition, many departments have professional accreditations to which they aspire.

The OSM office is prepared to assist the institution, the college and schools, and departments with accreditation.
