Online payments can be made 24 hours a day at the Student Portal using credit and debit cards. Checks are also accepted online. Please access Instructions on How to Make Online Payments for details.

Cash and check payments are accepted at the University Cashier's Office and in the Student Financials Office.

UNT HSC provides the following alternatives for the payment of tuition and fees during the Fall and Spring semesters:

• Full payment of tuition and fees upon registration or by the payment deadline for early registration; or
• One-half payment of tuition and mandatory fees plus 100% of all course fees upon registration, or by the payment deadline for early registration, with two additional payments prior to the start of the sixth and 11th class weeks.  Please see the Payment Plans on the Forms section for details.

Installment Plans are not offered during the Summer semester.  By choosing the Installment Plan, a student recognizes they are in a contractual agreement. A student who fails to make payment of tuition and fees, including any incidental fees, by the due date, may be prohibited from registering for classes until full payment is made. A student who fails to make payment prior to the end of the semester may be denied credit for the work done that semester.

Short-term loans are available to students who are enrolled. The loans are awarded for the minimum amount of tuition and fees each semester. The loans are posted to the student account in order to make the first payment in the Fall or Spring or the entire payment in a summer semester.

Students must meet the following criteria in order to qualify for a loan:

• No outstanding blocks.
• No outstanding loans.

Students can apply for short-term loans in person at the Financial Aid Office.

Students enrolled at UNTHSC may apply for emergency loans in the Financial Aid Office as well.

All loans must be repaid by the established due date in order to avoid collection fees. All unpaid loans are submitted to an outside collection agency.
