Current Issues

Dear Faculty:

The documents below trace the dialog between the Senate and the Provost on various issues vital to the faculty of this institution, including the Faculty Compensation Plan.  As you can see, the Senate continues to be actively involved in a number of issues.  It is clear that there are several aspects where the Provost and the Senate do not agree, but both sides continue to attempt to arrive at a mutually agreeable result.

The documents below reflect the concern the Senate has over the proposed changes in the Regents Rules, the Idea Student Rating System, the Post-tenure Review Process as well as the Grievance Process.

Below you will find the three distinct Senate Task Groups and the specific assignments that they are dealing with on Matters of Faculty Compensation, Issues of Tenure and Post-tenure Review, and Matters of Faculty Evaluations.

Please feel free to contact any member of the task groups with your input.  Your input on any/all of these issues is welcome!
