Our Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of Texas (SMART) Institute serves the needs of athletes and the physically active as well as patients recovering from injuries or illnesses that have affected their physical abilities.

We provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, functional capacity evaluations and work conditioning on prescriptions of treating physicians; or we can see patients for consultation/referrals.

The SMART Clinic also offers a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship designed to improve the knowledge base and provide a mechanism for gaining advanced training for those primary care physicians who care for a significant number of athletes in their practice and/or provide coverage for athletic events.
 
The SMART Institute is a joint program of UNT Health Science Center and the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas.
