- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) realizes that the country’s strong science and technology community provides a critical advantage in the development and implementation of counter-terrorist measures and other DHS objectives. The DHS Scholarship and Fellowship Program is intended for students interested in pursuing the basic science and technology innovations that can be applied to the DHS mission. This education program is intended to ensure a diverse and highly talented science and technology community to achieve the DHS mission and objectives. Areas of study that are eligible include: physical sciences, mathematical sciences, computer and information sciences, life sciences, social sciences, psychology, selected humanities, and engineering.
- Kenneth H. Ashworth Fellowship Program - Dr. Kenneth H. Ashworth was Commissioner of Higher Education in Texas from 1976 to 1997. The fellowship program was established in 1997 by members of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to honor Dr. Ashworth for his service as Commissioner. The purpose of this program is to provide financial assistance to students pursuing careers in public service.
