Protocol Pre-Review

To expedite the process of approving animal research protocols, the IACUC requires a pre-committee review of the protocol. The DLAM is happy to facilitate the pre-committee review process by working with the investigators here at the UNTHSC campus dealing with everything from A(xolotls) to Z(ebrafish). We ask that investigators submitting new and renewal protocols to the IACUC send the protocols to the IACUC Coordinator, Department of Laboratory Animal Medicine.

You will be contacted by the veterinarian following the review of the protocol to address items impacting veterinary care or items which historically have been of concern to the Committee. Following review with the investigator you will be given the pink 'IACUC Pre-Committee Review' to make changes suggested by the Veterinarian(s). Submit the pinksheet along with any changes you have made to the protocol to the IACUC Coordinator office, RES 128 .
