Once again, this year's departmental retreat was a smashing success. The Biological Station's scenery was beautiful, the weather was great, the participation was much better this year, and although there was no bonfire due to the burn bans, there was a great time had by all. There was fun & games, presentations given by faculty, post docs, and students and it was a great opportunity for people in the deparment to interact, get to know one another on a personal level and spend some time "just hangin out"!
Instead of a bonfire on opening night there was an outdoor cookout in which some of the international students experienced the wonderful taste of smores.
