The Five-Year Strategic Plan contains strategies for each mission-centric area (Administration, Academic Affairs, Research, Clinical Affairs, and Community Engagement) along with strategies for three institutional centers of excellence that cut across academics, research, and clinical affairs. The Executive Team (composed of the UNTHSC president, all deans, and all academic and non-academic vice presidents) and the Leadership Team (composed of all chairs, department heads, and other key administrators) develop the institutional strategic plan along with input from all faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
The UNTHSC Strategic Plan Targets, developed by members of the Executive Team, support the UNTHSC Five-Year Strategic Plan. Targets are established for number of fall matriculants and fall enrollment by academic program, dollar amount of research proposals and research awards by school, number of faculty by school, UNT Health revenues and patient encounters, and fundraising.
The annual UNTHSC Tactical Initiatives contains goals, performance measures, and tactical initiatives for each mission-centric area along with cross-cutting tactical initiatives that support multiple mission-centric areas. The Executive Team (composed of the UNTHSC president, all deans, and all academic and non-academic vice presidents) and the Leadership Team (composed of all chairs, department heads, and other key administrators) develop the annual UNTHSC Tactical Initiatives to support the achievement of UNTHSC strategies.
