The Department of Surgery’s goal is to function as a comprehensive academic facility and to develop leaders in the field of surgery. Our three objectives are: state of the art clinical care for our patients, an optimal academic surgical environment for our residents and staff, and to pioneer research activities.
The department is comprised of the following divisions: General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, ENT, and Hyperbaric. Many of our faculty members are regionally and nationally recognized with leadership positions in national and international surgical societies.
