Internal Medicine PA in Fort Worth, TX
Salary: $90K + paid benies
The PA Studies Program and UNT Health Physician Group are searching for a Physician Assistant to join their team, who possess excellent communication, clinical, and leadership skills and have interest in clinical and classroom teaching roles. Open position is a full-time appointment at the UNT Health Science Center of Fort Worth, TX. Prior experience in clinic, research or teaching is highly desirable. Total compensation ranges from $80-100K depending on faculty rank, experience, specialty employment and amount of time spent in either clinical or academic work. Faculty members enjoy excellent autonomy and receive full health benefits, teacher retirement packages, paid CME, malpractice, holidays and vacation. Clinical responsibilities would be within the Internal Medicine department working in the Coumadin Clinic at 40% time on the UNTHSC campus. Academic responsibilities include 60% time:
- Providing clinical services and instruction
- Preparing and delivering classroom instruction
- Evaluating student progress and effectiveness of instruction
- Counseling students
- Participating in student recruitment and selection
Classrooms and offices are located on campus of the UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth. The PA program is accredited through 2014 by the Accreditation Review Commission for Physician Assistant Education and awards graduates a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree upon graduation. The candidate must have Texas license by time of hire date and hold current certification from the NCCPA. A master's degree in PA Studies or a related field is required. Clinical experience is also preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English or other foreign language is a plus. The salary is based on MGMA academic standards and includes full health benefits, paid CME, vacation and state holidays off.
