Busy colorectal practice in Plano, Texas seeks Physician Assistant. We are a practice that includes four (4) surgeons, a pathologist and our own CRNAs. We are in the process of adding a Physician Assistant to perform the following duties: •Surgical Assist. Perform assistant surgeon duties with our physicians at area facilities. •Perform in-office duties with post-operative patients and follow-ups; •Discuss surgery, colonoscopy and medical care options with patients; •Additional responsibilities include managing patient care, coordination of care with referring physicians, maintaining information for patients referred to other physicians; •Share weekend and evening call schedule with the four physicians Requirements: •Satisfactory completion of Physician Assistant program at a certified educational facility •Interest in learning and working in the field of surgical assisting •Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written •Computer skills including MS Word, EMR systems and ability to learn new software quickly •Ability to work flexible hours (average availability from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. M-F).
