MHA Admissions Requirements & Application Procedures :
Current Program Outline/Curriculum
To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must hold a minimum of a bachelors degree or it's equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Applicants to the MHA program may complete an application through the Schools of Public Health Application Service, SOPHAS or through the Healthcare Administration, Management & Policy Centralized Application Services HAMPCAS .
- Submit complete, official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended
- Submit official scores from one of the following graduate admissions examinations:
o Graduate Record Examination (GRE) institutional code 6565
o Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)
o Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)
o Law School Admissions Test (LSAT)
o Pharmacy School Admissions Test (PCAT)
o Dental School Admissions Test (DAT)
o The examination requirement is waived for applicants possessing a professional doctoral degree with a license to practice in the United States.
- Applicants with foreign transcripts must also include an official WES or ECE transcript evaluation report listing course-by-course U.S. grade point equivalencies
- International applicants must demonstrate satisfactory proficiency in oral and written English before being granted admission. Minimum requirements: TOEFL scores: written = 550; computer-based = 213; internet based = 79

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:

- Submit an application to the School of Public Health via SOPHAS (Schools of Public Health Application Service) at www.sophas.org
- All application materials need to be submitted directly to SOPHAS, UNTHSC-SPH does not require a supplemental application

- Submit official scores from one of the following graduate admissions examinations:

Eligibility Requirements of the MPH - Professional Option
Applicants with an advanced degree (e.g., PhD, DO, MD, JD, MSN, MBA, PA; or
Applicants currently enrolled in a master's or doctoral program; or
Three years of work experience in the health professions.
To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements in addition to one of the eligibility requirements mentioned above:
- The applicant must hold a minimum of a bachelors degree or it's equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Submit an application to the School of Public Health via SOPHAS (Schools of Public Health Application Service) at www.sophas.org
- All application materials need to be submitted directly to SOPHAS, UNTHSC-SPH does not require a supplemental application
- Submit complete, official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended
- Submit official scores from one of the following graduate admissions examinations:

DrPH Admissions Requirements
Note: To be considered for funding completed applications (all application materials) must be received in our office from SOPHAS by January 15. You should allow 4-weeks after e-submitting and paying the application fee to SOPHAS for delivery of your completed application to our office.

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a MPH or related master’s degree(s) (or terminal clinical/doctoral degree) from a recognized institution
- Submit an application through the Schools of Public Health Application Service (SOPHAS) at www.sophas.org
- All application materials need to be submitted to SOPHAS, UNTHSC-SPH does not require a supplemental application
- Submit complete, official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Applicants with foreign transcripts must also include an official WES or ECE transcript evaluation report listing course-by-course U.S. grade point equivalencies

PhD Admissions Requirements

DO/MPH Admissions Requirements & Application Procedures
To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must hold a minimum of a bachelors degree or it's equivalent from a recognized institution. Current TCOM students must apply prior to starting their fourth year.
- Applicants to the DO/MPH program must submit an application directly to the UNT Health Science Center School of Public Health Office of Student & Academic Services (OSAS), download application.
- All application materials need to be submitted to OSAS
- Submit complete, official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended
- Submit official scores from one of the following graduate admissions examinations:
o Graduate Record Examination (GRE) use institutional code: 6565
o Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)
o Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT)

Applicants that are currently enrolled in Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) should submit a letter to the UNT Health Science Center Office of the Registrar granting permission to release copies of official transcripts and MCAT score reports to the SPH Office of Student & Academic Services.
MSN/MPH Application Requirements & Application Procedure
Applicant may only apply to the Department of Health Management & Policy. Students in the M.S.N. program must apply to the M.P.H. program prior to the completion of 24 SCH in the M.S.N. program. Conversely, students in the M.P.H. program must apply to the M.S.N. program prior to the completion of 24 SCH in the M.P.H. program. Students are not given dual degree status until they have been successfully admitted to both the M.P.H. and the M.S.N. programs. UT Arlington M.S.N. Admissions Information

MS/MPH Admissions Requirements & Application Procedures
To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants may only apply to the Community Health Concentration within the Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences
- New students are encouraged to apply simultaneously to both programs for the Fall Semester. Application deadlines for Anthropology are Feb. 15 & May 1. However, a student may decide to apply at any time prior to the 18 SCH cut-off (see below). Students are not given dual degree status until they have been successfully admitted to both the M.P.H. and the M.S. in Applied Anthropology programs.
- The applicant must hold a minimum of a bachelors degree or it's equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Submit an application to the School of Public Health via SOPHAS (Schools of Public Health Application Service) at www.sophas.org

For students currently enrolled in the M.P.H. or M.S. Anthropology program, they have 18 SCH to decide if they would like to complete the dual degree program. If a current M.P.H. student, they must apply to the anthropology program for the Fall semester. If a current anthropology student, they can apply to the SPH for any semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer).
Non Degree Admissions Requirements
The health science center recognizes that some students may wish to be admitted to the School of Public Health for the purpose of taking courses not necessarily leading to an advanced degree. Admission to the School of Public Health may be granted, subject to the following provisions.
To be considered for non-degree admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must hold a minimum of a bachelor s degree or its equivalent from an accredited university or college.
- The student in this status is required to receive credit in all graduate courses taken, and must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- A student who is admitted to non-degree status has no assurance that work completed under this status will be applicable toward degree requirements should he or she subsequently be admitted to a degree program at the health science center. A maximum of 12 semester hours may be taken. Completion of departmental graduate courses by non-degree students does not obligate the School of Public Health to grant admission to a degree program at a later date, unless all general and specific requirements for admission to that program have been met.
- International applicants requiring or holding F-1 visa status are not eligible for non-degree admission.
