School of Public Health Curriculum Committee
Overview | Council Members | Minutes
The Curriculum Committee of the School of Public Health is a standing committee with authority for the review, oversight and approval of all SPH curricula. Departmental faculty members develop courses applicable to their degree plans, submit them for approval at the departmental level and then submit them to the Curriculum Committee for final approval. The Committee also has responsibility for monitoring the academic rigor and quality of the curriculum, and ensuring that accreditation standards for the achievement of competencies are maintained.
Membership of the Curriculum Committee is comprised of voting representatives from each of the five departments within the School of Public Health and two students (one from the master’s programs and one from the doctoral programs) who are elected by the Public Health Student Association. Several ad hoc members from the Office of the Dean and the Office of Student and Academic Services also serve on the committee.
The Chair of the Curriculum Committee is appointed by the Dean of the School of Public Health.
