Faculty Position in Health Management and Policy

POSITION – The Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth invites applications for an open rank faculty position. Applicants at the Associate Professor or Professor level are strongly encouraged to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS – Candidates for the position must have a doctoral degree in management, policy, or related health or social science discipline. Preferred teaching and research interests are in management and strategy, marketing, human resources and health policy. Other relevant interests may be considered. The successful candidate must have a strong record of or the potential for peer reviewed research, collaboration with researchers and practitioners in various fields of medicine and public health, independent and collaborative research funding, and outstanding teaching and advising.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Responsibilities include conducting independent and collaborative research, teaching master’s and doctoral courses in health management and policy, advising and mentoring MHA, MPH, and DrPH students, and providing service to the community and the field of public health and health services.

COMPENSATION AND RANK – Rank and compensation are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary is very competitive.

DEPARTMENT AND UNIVERSITY – The UNT Health Science Center is the fastest-growing health science center in Texas. The department consists of seven full-time faculty members from diverse disciplines who conduct health services and policy research, often collaborating with other departments in the School of Public Health, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and local, state, and national agencies.
