Every year, thousands of prospective students and applicants visit TCOM to learn more about our facilities, faculty and academic programs. If you are interested in visiting us, whether yourself or part of a pre-health professions group, please contact the Office of Medical Student Admissions by calling (800) 535-TCOM or use e-mail TCOMAdmissions@hsc.unt.edu to reach us.
Shadow Program
The Student Development Office offers a shadow
program for prospective students to spend a day with a medical student. This
program offers you the opportunity to understand the life and everyday routine
of a student here at TCOM. If you would like to learn more about the
shadow program or would like to participate, please e-mail Misty Smethers at msmether@hsc.unt.edu or call
817-735-5006.
Travel Hints and Tips
If you do decide to make a visit to our
campus, we suggest that you use the following guidelines:
- Make your appointment before setting any airline reservations.
- If you are traveling by air to Dallas-Ft. Worth (DFW) International
Airport, it will take you approximately one hour by car to reach the campus.
If you are flying into Love Field Airport, it will take approximately one hour
and fifteen minutes. Please budget for this time when planning your
visit.
- Observe the University and Fort Worth parking regulations.
- If you fly to Fort Worth, we suggest that you rent a car at the airport.
Taxi fare from DFW is approximately $30-$40 for one way. Taxi fare from Love
Field is approximately $50 one way.
There are two shuttle services you may want to consider:
Airporter Bus Service will take you to and from the DFW airport from downtown Fort Worth hotels. From there, you will have to take a taxi to campus. For more information about this service, call (817) 334-0092 or visit their web site: http://www.the-t.com
SuperShuttle will also take you to and from the DFW airport from our campus or Fort Worth hotels. They do offer door-to-door service. For more information about SuperShuttle, please call (817) 329-2000 or visit their web site: http://www.supershuttle.com

Off-Campus Presentations
Throughout the year, representatives
travel to meet with prospective students and make presentations to pre-health
professions groups. If you would like for us to speak to your group or want to
