TCOM is a state-supported medical school and a component of the University of North Texas Health Science Center. The Health Science Center is governed by the University of North Texas System Board of Regents.

Campus: TCOM is located on the University of North Texas Health Science Center campus in Fort Worth's Cultural District. The Health Science Center complex houses lectures halls, training rooms, patient care facilities and research labs.
Faculty: Over 300 full-time basic science and clinical faculty members. The full-time faculty is augmented by over 400 part-time faculty members.
