Governing Body: TCOM is a state-supported
medical school and a component of the University of North Texas Health
Science Center. The Health Science Center is governed by the University of
North Texas System Board of Regents.

Campus: TCOM is located on the University of
North Texas Health Science Center campus in Fort Worth's Cultural
District. The Health Science Center complex houses lectures halls,
training rooms, patient care facilities and research labs.
Faculty: Over 325 full-time basic science and
clinical faculty members. The full-time faculty is augmented by over 400
part-time faculty members.
Admissions: Over 2,500 applications are
received annually for the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program and the
Master of Physician Assistant Studies program.

Tuition and Fees: For 2007-2008, D.O. program
first-year resident tuition and fees is $13,950.00 and non-resident
tuition and fees is $29,700.00. First-year physician assistant
student resident tuition and fees is $8,869.00 and non-resident tuition
and fees is $21,673.00.
Alumni: Over 2,800 with approximately 65% of
them practicing in primary care.
Accreditation: The University of North Texas
Health Science Center is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. TCOM is accredited by the
AOA Bureau of Professional Education of the American Osteopathic
Association. The Physician Assistant Studies program is accredited by the
Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant.
