Thank you for taking the time to visit the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. This web page is designed to help prospective students find information on travel, local accommodations, and area attractions. The Office of Admissions and Outreach is located in the Education and Administration Building (EAD) Room 248. The building is located on the corner of Camp Bowie and Montgomery Street.

Air Travel
Virtually every major airline in the United States flies into DFW International Airport. For those who are traveling within the state, additional air travel is available through Dallas Love Field.
- Make your appointment before setting any airline reservations.
- If you are traveling by air to Dallas-Ft. Worth (DFW) International Airport, it will take you approximately one hour by car to reach the campus. If you are flying into Love Field Airport, it will take approximately one hour and thirty minutes. Please budget for this time when planning your visit.
If you fly to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, we suggest that you rent a car at the airport. Taxi fare from DFW is approximately $45-$60 for one way. Taxi fare from Love Field is approximately $60-$75 one way and taxi service from UNTHSC is unreliable. In addition, there are two shuttle services you may want to consider:
Airporter Bus Service will take you to and from the DFW airport from downtown Fort Worth hotels. From there, you will have to take a taxi to campus. For more information about the Airporter, call (817) 334-0092 or visit their web site: http://www.the-t.com
SuperShuttle will also take you to and from the DFW airport from our campus or Fort Worth hotels. They do offer door-to-door service. For more information about SuperShuttle, please call (817) 329-2000 or visit their web site: http://www.supershuttle.com

Driving Directions
If you are traveling west on Interstate 30 from Dallas take Exit 11 (Montgomery Street), stay in the far right lane, but do not exit onto University. Turn right onto Montgomery Street and go 1.0 miles until you turn right onto Camp Bowie Boulevard. Take the first left onto Clifton Street. Turn left immediately into the Administration and Visitor Parking lot (Lot A).
If you are traveling east on Interstate 30 from Abilene take Exit 11 (Montgomery Street) and turn left. Follow Montgomery Street north for 1.1 miles until you turn right onto Camp Bowie Boulevard. Take the first left onto Clifton Street. Turn left immediately into the Administration and Visitor Parking lot (Lot A).
If you are interviewing, the parking attendant may direct you to the parking garage. If you are visiting the office, a visitor permit may be issued to you. As a point of reference, here are some estimated distances and times from several Texas cities:

Local Accommodations
There are a wide variety of hotels/motels that are within a short driving distance of the campus. The Fairfield Inn by Marriot is offering a special rate of $89.99 for UNTHSC guests. Information can be found at:

Please feel free to visit the Fort Worth Convention and Visitors Bureau website for other local accommodations. When selecting a location, please choose "Cultural District" or "University" location for the nearest hotels to UNTHSC.
Medical School Interviewees Staying with TCOM Students
Our medical students often host applicants who have been invited to TCOM for an interview. We do not guarentee housing, but will make every effort to do so. If you have been invited for an admissions interview and would like to stay with one of our students, please complete the Interview Housing Request form and send it to the Office of Student Life at studentlife@hsc.unt.edu
