Scott Ransom, DO, MBA, MPH, was inaugurated as the fifth president of the University of North Texas Health Science Center on Oct. 19, 2007, after joining the Health Science Center in August 2006.

The inauguration was marked by a
week-long celebration that included a discussion on Alzheimer’s disease, the DO Dash fun run, a campus-wide celebration and the inaugural ceremony and gala.
