Students
One of the advantages
of an osteopathic medical education is that it prepares students to enter
all three of the nation’s residency programs: allopathic, osteopathic,
and military. In keeping with the osteopathic tradition, many of our
graduates enter primary care (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology
and Pediatrics) internships and residencies. A number of them also enter
specialty programs such as Anesthesiology or Surgery. Those who begin
in a transitional or traditional internship will go on to a residency
program after this internship year, either allopathic, osteopathic, or
military.
