Clinic Appointment Information Appointments Appointments for the International Travel Medicine Clinic may be scheduled by calling 817-735-2228 during our regular business hours, the clinic times are 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, Monday, Thursday, and Friday and from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. The initial consultation usually includes pre-travel counseling, review of medical history, medication prescriptions, and the administration of vaccines. The initial visit generally takes about one hour. Subsequent visits, if needed, vary from about 15 to 30 minutes. Scheduling Ideally, travelers should schedule an appointment at least one month prior to travel to maximize protection against potential health hazards. Unfortunately, many travelers do not have such advance notice. In many cases, adequate health protection may be acquired by visiting the clinic two to three weeks prior to travel. However, even travelers departing within a matter of days can generally benefit from services available at the clinic. Location The International Travel Medicine Clinic is on the campus of the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. The campus is readily accessible via Interstate Highways 30 or 35W. The clinic is located in the new Center of BioHealth (CBH) building 3400 Camp Bowie Blvd., Suite 113, in the Fort Worth Cultural District.
