"OPEN YOUR HEARTS - HELP SAVE AND REBUILD LIVES"
Hurricane Katrina has left millions of people without homes, clean water and healthcare. The need for help is immediate and will continue as we struggle to reassemble the lives of all those effected by this disaster.
Over the next few weeks, we are asking all of you here at the UNT Health Science Center to do what you do best; open your hearts and help those who are in need.
The Health Science Center’s Employee Benefits and Action Committee (EBAC) has identified eight organizations who we believe will accept our donations and use them to truly benefit those effected by Hurricane Katrina. A list of the charities is linked below so you can choose whichever organization you want to receive your donation. Also linked is a contribution form which you can print, fill out, and return with your donation.
Our goal is for 100% participation.
We know that not everyone can donate financially. Therefore we are asking you to reach out and donate your time and services as well. You may also choose to donate material items such as diapers, toothpaste, soap, etc. Material donations as well as financial donations may be sent to the Attention of Dr. Thomas Moorman, EAD 242.
Also, The EBAC would like to be able to put together a complete listing of all the efforts made by individuals, offices, or organizations on campus. Therefore, please forward a short description of any services or donation activities that you have participated in. We would like to have a brief summary and an estimate of the hours of service provided, amount of goods donated, etc. Send your stories to tmoorman@hsc.unt.edu Thank you! Help us reach our goal.
