Using Outlook 2007 to Migrate Groupwise E-Mail to Live@UNTHSC

The purpose of this How-To guide is to provide one method of migrating your legacy Groupwise e-mail to the new Live@UNTHSC system.  No method will  fully migrate all mail, calendar items and contacts from your Groupwise account to Live.  We hope that this procedure, in conjunction with basic e-mail forwarding and Live's 'pop subscriptions' will provide the fullest ability to migrate as possible.  This method will allow the best method of maintaining folder structures and moving large groups of messages at one time.

  1. Connect Outlook 2007 to your Live@UNTHSC account.  Follow the instructions located at http://www.hsc.unt.edu/liveatunthsc/LiveInOutlook07.cfm to make sure Outlook 2007 is properly configured to access your mail.

  2. Once your Outlook 2007 client is able to view your Live mailbox then you'll need to configure your Outlook 2007 client to receive your Groupwise e-mail.  Follow the instructions below to configure IMAP access to your Groupwise e-mail.
