Volunteers at work: Breast Cancer 3-Day

On www.the3day.org , the Web site of the multi-site 60-mile walk that benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure, registration is now open for the Dallas/Fort Worth walk on Oct. 26-28, and the event’s 2007 “Inspiration” video is posted. Check it out. About half way through the video, you’ll see a familiar sight: the corner of Camp Bowie and Montgomery. Yes, that’s our UNTHSC cheerleading team whooping it up and giving “High Fives” to the walkers of the 2006 event.

Congratulations to those who walked and thank you, volunteers, who set up and worked our cheering station and labored long hours in the medical tents, all for a good cause. We’re hoping to do it all over again this year; details to come.
