UNT Health adds new physicians, new locations and new services
Our physician group, UNT Health, is the largest multi-specialty practice in Tarrant County and has recently added even more quality healthcare services for North Texas communities.
Did you know that we now have the largest psychiatry group in the D/FW Metroplex? Most of our 17 psychiatrists see patients in the Medical Center Professional Building at 1002 Montgomery, on the UNTHSC West Campus (the old hospital property). Daralynn Deardorff, DO, a 1998 TCOM graduate who had been practicing at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, joined the group in January.
The Internal Medicine Clinic in the Patient Care Center on campus has a new subspecialty practice: Interventional Cardiology. New physicians Jennifer Naiser, DO, a 2000 TCOM graduate, and Richard Stewart, MD, direct the program.
A new cooperative effort between UNT Health and the JPS Health System is serving the families of south Arlington at the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center, recently opened at I-20 and Embarcadero Drive. A new Department of Orthopaedic Surgery also opened on the fifth floor of the Patient Care Center on campus.
And in January a new UNT Health Call Center opened on the first floor of the Patient Care Center to handle calls made to 817-735-DOCS, offer physician referrals, help new patients make appointments and assist clinics in managing calls for optimum efficiency.
UNT Health has more than 200 healthcare providers total, including more than 150 physicians.
Visit the group's new Web site, www.unthealth.org, for details and updates.
