First CBH room dedication honors Moncrief family The naming of the Lee Wiley Moncrief Executive Waiting Area, which serves the Department of Family Medicine’s Executive Wellness Program located on the first floor of the building, holds special significance for the Moncrief family. Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief, Ms. Moncrief’s brother, was successfully treated for a cancerous tumor that had been discovered in a wellness screening program similar to UNTHSC’s. To date, $3.9 million in private donations – including about $340,000 from UNTHSC employees, retirees, students and foundation board members – has been raised. Several proposals and grant applications are pending to finish two floors. The Office of Institutional Advancement will host a public appreciation ceremony this spring to honor other campaign donors for whom one or more areas of the CBH will be named. |
