The effectiveness of the HPV vaccine was at the center of a Question & Answer piece to which Ralph Anderson, MD, chair of obstetrics and gynecology, contributed. It was published by the Star-Telegram on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and can be read on http://www.dfw.com:80/mld/dfw/news/state/16633617.htm. Dr. Anderson was also quoted in an article about Gov. In Laboratory Equipment magazine

Collection and preparation of DNA samples was examined in an article in the January 2007 issue of Laboratory Equipment magazine, and work done by Xavier Aranda in the DNA lab at the Health Science Center was included as an example of collection and preparation work in the field of forensic DNA analysis.

In Forensic Magazine

Art Eisenberg, PhD, director of the DNA lab, was used as a source for the article “Identifying Degraded DNA” in the February/March 2007 issue of Forensic Magazine. The article examines how using mini-short tandem repeat technology can help solve more crimes through identification of highly-degraded DNA samples.
