Jackline Opollo, School of Public Health student
…was recently awarded the Hospital Corporation of America First Humanitarian Award at Medical City Dallas Hospital, where she’s a registered nurse. But that’s not all… she also received the 2007 Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council Employee of the Year award for outstanding commitment and passion for global health issues. Opollo will be heading to Uganda this summer as part of the North Texas Africa Health Initiative to find ways to improve care for HIV/AIDS patients.

… received the Old Shoe Award from the Junior League of Fort Worth for going “above and beyond” her duties as a Junior League active member. Over her 10 years with the Junior League Chambers has volunteered at Mayfest, the Rodeo, the National Cowgirl Museum, Casa Manana and with many other events and organizations.
