UNT Health holds Town Halls

Approximately 150 UNT Health staff attended town hall meetings recently to get operational and clinical updates on the multi-specialty physician group. One issue of key importance emphasized by Interim President, Randy Jones, was the continued focus on customer service and patient satisfaction.

A key goal for the group is to improve patient satisfaction scores 10 percent over the baseline study. In that initial study, conducted last November, the Eagle Ranch family practice clinic in Saginaw achieved top honors among the clinic locations. Additional training through the QCARE program, as well as further enhancements of the call center, are initiatives underway to assist in meeting the customer satisfaction goals.

Financially, UNT Health is performing above budget expectations and patient volumes are up 9.4 percent.

Jones noted challenges for the group will entail dealing with a changing healthcare and political environment, while also continuing to analyze and develop further strategic hospital alliances for the future. UNT HSC Logo
