PA students make clinic exam rooms more “kid friendly” Going to the doctor can be a scary thing for a child. With a little paint and a lot of creativity, the Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2009 is making those visits a little less stressful. Some members of the class recently took part in the Pediatric Clinic’s Adopt-a-Room Program. They painted three exam rooms at the Patient Care Center with the kid-friendly themes of “Under the Sea,” “Green Eggs and Ham” and “In the Jungle.” This is the second year that PA students have participated in the program… they’ve painted five rooms in all. Al Neyland, administrative director for women’s and children’s services, says the program not only makes doctor visits easier for kids, but also shows that our PA Students “care about care.” To find out more about the Pediatric Clinic’s Adopt-a-Room Program, contact Neyland at ext. 2425.
