Staff from the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Clinic (above) and the Westside Family Medicine Clinic(below) both received a special surprise at the QCARE celebration. Both clinics were recognized for greatest improvement in overall visit satisfaction on the UNT Health patient satisfaction survey conducted in July. Sure, a certificate was in order, but a large, presentation check was a hint that each member of the clinic staff would receive a $250 check.

QCARE training concludes, winners announced

Wrapping up the first round of customer satisfaction training through the QCARE initiative left some UNT Health employees quite satisfied themselves.

Throughout the course of the cruise-themed program, employees could earn points to qualify for various levels of prize drawings. A reception to honor the success of the program and to draw winners’ names was held on Friday, Oct. 5, in the Atrium. The big winner was Mary Palacios, Clinic Services Rep III, Family Medicine, who won a cruise for two to the Caribbean, leaving from Galveston.

Other winners in the first-level point category were Leslie McGee and Cathy Sherman, who won murder mystery cruises.

Gift certificates to various restaurants were won by first level qualifiers Michelle McGriff, Sisountha Pongpradith, June Woodall, Robbin Burns, Teresa Dunn, Lucy Villarreal and Annette Rios-Jimenez.

Second-level winners, John Carpenter and Terry Stevenson, who each won romantic cruise packages on Lake Granbury, with gift certificates going to Kay Fabian, Ruby Gentry and Velma Thomason.
