Governor orders travel freeze
Texas Governor Rick Perry has requested that all state agencies limit travel in an effort to avert potential strains on the state’s coffers. As a result, UNTHSC has frozen all in- and out-of-state travel using state funds effective October 27.
Travel will be allowed if an official Request for Approval of Travel has been approved and submitted. However, any travel after October 27 must be locally funded using a non-state department ID. Exceptions to the state funds for travel freeze must be approved in advance by the appropriate executive. For additional information, contact the Travel Office at ext. 2547.
