Benefits summer enrollment starts in July
The Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) summer enrollment period for Plan Year 2010 will be July 6 through July 31, 2009. During this period, you can enroll in and/or change your benefits coverage. However, just as in past years, no action is required on your part if you are not changing your benefits. Your existing benefits, including TexFlex, will roll over to the new plan year if you do not make any changes.
UNT Health Science Center will again host the annual Summer Enrollment Fair in Fort Worth on July 9. More details regarding summer enrollment will be sent to you via e-mail, Campus Connection and from ERS in the coming weeks.
EIS upgrade next week
The EIS Financials System will upgrade from version 8.4 to 9.0 on March 13. The upgrade will affect Accounting, Finance and Administration, Financial Systems, Grant and Contract Management, Institutional Budgets, and Purchasing and Central Services.
The current Financials System Production Environment (FSPD) will be taken down from Friday, March 13, at noon, until Tuesday, March 17, for the upgrade. During this period, users will not be able to access FSPD. The ePro module will close prior to March 13 to allow time for transactions in process to complete prior to FSPD being taken down.
When the upgrade is completed, the majority of users will experience a new “look and feel” along with several enhancements of the ePro module. Purchasing will contact ePro users about the processing timeline for the upgrade, and training will be offered.
The EIS upgrade is a collaborative effort between both the UNT Denton, UNT Health Science Center administrative support areas, and the UNT Computing and Information Technology Center. The upgrade will enable UNT’s system to continue with future Oracle product support and implement enhancements that previously were not available.
