President Ransom reports growth THE UNT Center for Human Identification, which includes the DNA lab on our campus, was mentioned in a Pittsburgh (Pa.) Post-Gazette story for its work with the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, or NamUs. The DNA lab was also mentioned in a Detroit News article as part of an effort to identify a young woman whose remains were discovered in Monroe, Mich., 27 years ago. Dr. Bowman talks teen tanning Dr. Paul Bowman, chair of pediatrics, gave his opinion of a new law that would require teens to have a doctor’s permission to use tanning beds. The story aired on the 5 pm newscast on the Dallas Fox affiliate, KDFW.
