President Ransom reports growth
The Star-Telegram recapped President Ransom’s presentation to the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce at a luncheon held on campus on Feb. 19. The article outlined the Health Science Center’s expected enrollment increase in the next four to five years.
THE UNT Center for Human Identification, which includes the DNA lab on our campus, was mentioned in a Pittsburgh (Pa.) Post-Gazette story for its work with the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, or NamUs. The DNA lab was also mentioned in a Detroit News article as part of an effort to identify a young woman whose remains were discovered in Monroe, Mich., 27 years ago.
Dr. Bowman talks teen tanning
Dr. Paul Bowman, chair of pediatrics, gave his opinion of a new law that would require teens to have a doctor’s permission to use tanning beds. The story aired on the 5 pm newscast on the Dallas Fox affiliate, KDFW.
