SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH NAMES OUTSTANDING DOCTORAL GRADUATE AT UNT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER
Elizabeth Treviño, DrPH, received the Outstanding Doctoral Graduate Award from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
A former recipient of the Leon Brachman Community Service Award, which is given to the public health student who best exemplifies the ideals of academic excellence, leadership and community service, Dr. Treviño was named the top doctoral student this year.
Dr. Treviño is a native of Reynosa, Mexico, and currently resides in Fort Worth. She is a graduate of Texas A&M at Kingsville, holding a bachelor of science degree in biology and chemistry. Dr. Treviño earned a master of health management and policy degree from the health science center prior to receiving her DrPh degree this spring.
Dr. Treviño received the award at the School of Public Health’s annual awards banquet on May 6.
