CHOI JOINS UNT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER
Kyung-Mee Choi, PhD, recently joined the UNT Health Science Center as assistant professor of environmental and occupational health.
Dr. Choi was previously a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
Dr. Choi’s research interests include the adverse health effects of air pollution on different populations and spatial studies of disease outbreaks, such as influenza.
A native of Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Choi earned a bachelor of science degree in statistics and a master of engineering degree in industrial engineering from Korea University. She earned a master of science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a doctorate in environmental sciences and engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Choi currently resides in Fort Worth.
