Larranaga Joins UNT Health Science Center as Assistant Professor
Michael Larranaga, PhD, CIH, CSP, joined UNT Health Science Center as an assistant professor in the School of Public Health’s Department of Environmental and Occupational Health.
Prior to joining the health science center, Dr. Larranaga served as director of operations for Assured Indoor Air Quality LP in Dallas and as adjunct faculty and an industrial hygienist at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He also served as a technical staff member at Los Alamos National Laboratory at the University of California in Los Alamos, N.M. and as a contract safety consultant for both Greninger Health and Safety in Houston and AKZO Nobel Chemicals in Pasadena, Texas.
Dr. Larranaga earned a doctorate in industrial engineering from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He also earned a master of science degree in environmental science from the University of Houston at Clear Lake and a bachelor of science degree in fire protection and safety from Oklahoma State University.
He currently resides in Coppell.
