NorTex discusses research, improved patient care
NorTex (the North Texas Primary Care Practice-Based Research Network) will hold its first Convocation of Practices beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, on the UNT Health Science Center campus. The event is the first gathering of primary care physicians, researchers and their study subjects to share information about their research.
Sessions include a discussion about improving patient care, progress of the North Texas Healthy Heart Study, and results from the Center for Community Health's HPV Vaccine Acceptability Study. Planned events also include a roundtable discussion between NorTex physician researchers and their patient subjects.
The event is being presented by the UNT Health Science Center's Primary Care Research Institute. The convocation is free to attend, but seating is limited, so registration is required. Registration includes breakfast, lunch and continuing medical education (CME) credit.
