The Health Science Center maintained its top-50 rankings for primary care, geriatrics and physician assistant studies in the latest rankings by U.S. News & World Report magazine.
The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine ranked 20th for primary care medical schools, remaining the highest rated of all Texas medical schools for this category and a member of the top 50 nationwide since 2003. TCOM's geriatrics program ranked 16th, the only Texas medical school listed in that category.
The School of Health Professions' Physician Assistant Studies program ranked 38th out of 123 schools nationwide, maintaining a place in the top 50 since 2004.
