Texas Center for Translational Research

We are using this new information to fill in the gaps of existing biomedical scientific knowledge and then applying the results directly in our communities. Our Texas Center for Translational Research is building on our expertise in Alzheimer's, health disparities, diabetes, obesity, musculoskeletal disease, cardiovascular disease, and infant mortality through new investigations and partnerships that can lead to new treatments, new drugs, and new hope.

Examples of Current Translational Activities include:

Office of Technology Transfer & Commercialization- service provider  assisting UNTHSC researchers, and community partners with the development and promotion of biomedical innovations.

Texas Center for Health Disparities - The Texas Center for Health Disparities (TCHD), an NIH-designated EXPORT center was established to prevent, reduce and eliminate health disparities in our communities through research, education and community relations.
